JOB DESCRIPTION – ASSISTANT ART DIRECTOR

The ideal candidate will have strong design sensibilities and exceptional storytelling abilities.  

Purpose: 

To be a part of the creative group responsible for the ideation and development of immersive experiences across websites, apps, video, rich media, OTT and social media.  

The key expectations of the role: 

  • Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion to ensure client satisfaction and business growth 
  • Consistently deliver ‘IDEA’ based work over tactical campaigns    
  • Explore global initiatives and bring such global work into practice for pitches 
  • Ensure quality assurance on all creative deliverables 
  • Keeping to deadlines 
  • Establish a roadmap for on-going innovation and creative experimentation 
  • Collaborate closely with Content/Social/Video/Photo teams to bring visual concepts to life 
  • Collaborate with Content Producers to maintain the desired creative intent
     

Competencies required:  Knowledge, skills, and attitude

Knowledge 

  • Knowledge of the digital communication/advertising landscape 
  • Knowledge of responsive web design across desktop, tablet, and mobile 
  • Expertise in Adobe creative products- Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects and Sketch 
  • Ability to plan animation and interactivity based designs. 
  • Knowledge of information architecture, usability, and UI Design along with an experience of web, connectedTV, and mobile standards best practices, design, and usability principles and constraints within those formats 


Skills 

  • Strong visual design skills, with good knowledge of layout, typography, and storytelling, with a sensitivity to user-system interaction  
  • Conceptualization skills, ability to see the big picture 
  • Exceptional ability to ideate 
  • Presentation skills 
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal are critical to the success of the role

The Individual: (education and experience) 

 Essential 

  • Overall work experience of at least 6-7 years in the creative space 
  • Extensive experience in designing across multiple media platforms (social, web, and video) within a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience creating and maintaining a strict style guide and component-based design system 
  • Must have an inspiring portfolio of work 

Desirable 

  • Exposure to working in international markets.
